Makara Sankranti is one of the most auspicious and ancient festivals in India. This festival celebrates the movement of the solar cycle, movement in Zodiac Signs from Dhanu to Makara (Sagittarius to Capricorn), movement of the season from winter to summer. This festival is also to acknowledge every element involved (Bhoomi, Surya, Vayu, Agni, Jal, cow, and people) during harvest. Makar Sankranti celebrations differ from region to region. One of the prominent ways to celebrate this festival is kite flying tradition.

The beginning of summer clear, blue skies and cool breeze are ideal to allow the kites to sail upwards.

This 3D video of ours welcomes Makar Sankranti with kite flying tradition.
